Business owners have unique needs when it comes to starting and running their business. Advisors need to know what pitfalls to advise their business clients on, including how to properly set up their business to protect themselves. This course will give advisors the tools to be able to talk to their clients and ensure that they are setting up their business venture appropriately.
This program will use a mixture of education on different types of business and corporate entities, including the necessary documents to organize them appropriately. This will include a look at what documents like Articles of Incorporation, Operating Agreements, and Corporate Bylaws do. Advisors will also learn how to effectively talk to clients about protecting their personal assets from lawsuits, and segmenting liability using different business entities, and how to use these tools in a complimentary way with their estate plan. It will also use case studies to draw upon so that advisors have real world examples that they can use to effectively spot issues for clients and guide them.
