Business owners need to have an exit strategy. Advisors need to know how to properly advise their business owner clients on how to properly leave their businesses at their death, how to protect themselves if they are disabled, and what to think about if they have business partners. This course will give advisors the tools to be able to talk to their clients and ensure that they are setting up their business venture appropriately.
This program will use a mixture of education on what business succession planning is, what types of planning methods are available, including detailed looks into how clients should properly use Buy/Sell Agreements in their business. Advisors will also learn how to talk to clients about funding Buy/Sell Agreements, and how business succession planning and estate planning intersect. This program will also use case studies to draw upon so that advisors have real world examples that they can use to effectively spot issues for clients and guide them.
